I was lucky enough to film this amazing performance from Kirsty Neary at WPM5. It's a genuinely creepy reading of a solidly, unusual piece of writing. Kirsty is definitely one to watch.

I am currently editing a film I shot in August/September featuring the marvellous 'Campfires In Winter'. To support the launch of the bands 'Cardboard Ship's' EP, The PEENKO and I concocted a scheme which involved a mini tour where the band would play in friends and fans living rooms. This scene features shots taken on an iPhone of the band performing With A Ragged Diamond. The filming took place on the first night of the tour at the home of Glasgow PodcART's Halina Rifai.
The band were forced to play quietly because Halina's downstairs neighbours had just got home from hospital with a newly delivered baby, fresh from the storks mouth!

Things have been fairly quiet for me on the WPM front recently; I couldn't film the Fence/Halloween event because I was shooting my film on the same day, but I am glad to say there has been a lot going on behind the scenes and Words Per Minute is moving to it's new home in the Arches starting from the 12th December and running concurrently on the second Sunday of every month.
I miss seeing the wonderful WPM girls, and of course the equally lovely Neil Thomas Douglas and Julian Corrie, so it is great to know that the wheels seem to be in motion and the event will soon be, quite literally, spreading the word on a regular basis once again.
As a wee taster, here is some amazing footage from WPM4 featuring the incredible Tawona Sithole and his brother Earnest. This makes me flip every time I hear it!

The cast and co-director of Frantic Assembly's new production 'Beautiful Burnout' discuss the play with an audience after the recent performance in Tramway.
Shot and cut by LUGS as part of Tramway's ongoing 'Artist In Conversation' series. The gloomy lighting was unfortunately out with my control, however the play is incredible and HIGHLY recommended
